Description
Thereβs something undeniably magical about biting into Oreo ballsβthat sweet, creamy center wrapped in a rich chocolate coating, chilled to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 36 regular Oreo cookies
- 1 (8-ounce) package brick-style cream cheese, softened
- 16 ounces chocolate β semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate
Instructions
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or blender. Reserve 1 to 2 tablespoons of crumbs for topping later.
- Transfer the remaining crumbs to a large bowl and add the softened cream cheese. Mix together with a hand mixer or use a spoon until fully combined. Scoop 1-tablespoon portions of the mixture, roll them into balls, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Freeze the Oreo balls for at least 20 minutes until firm.
- Chop the chocolate and microwave it in 20 to 30 second increments, stirring after each interval, until smooth and melted. Dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, then place it back on the baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle with reserved Oreo crumbs. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes or until the chocolate coating is fully set.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easier mixing and a smoother texture.
- Try using different Oreo flavors for unique variations each time you make them.
- Experiment with different toppings like crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or colorful sprinkles.
