- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Unroll one sheet of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, ensuring it reaches about 1 inch up the sides.
- Layer half of the provolone cheese on the bottom.
- Add the meats in the following order: pepperoni, ham, then salami.
- Top with red bell peppers and pepperoncini slices.
- Add the remaining provolone cheese on top.
- Unroll the second crescent roll sheet and place it over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal.
- Whisk together the egg, pesto, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl.
- Brush the mixture over the top of the dough using a pastry brush.
- Cover with non-stick foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then slice into squares and serve warm.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, brush olive oil on the top layer before baking.
- Let the squares rest before slicing to prevent them from falling apart.
