Ingredients

Scale

Dough & Spread:

  • 2 cans crescent roll dough sheets
  • 1 tablespoon prepared pesto (or egg wash for a golden finish)

Meat & Cheese Layers:

  • 8 ounces sliced provolone cheese
  • ¼ pound sliced deli pepperoni
  • ¼ pound sliced deli ham
  • ¼ pound sliced Genoa salami

Toppings & Extras:

  • 12-ounce can roasted red bell peppers, drained and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup canned sliced pepperoncini, drained
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Unroll one sheet of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, ensuring it reaches about 1 inch up the sides.
  3. Layer half of the provolone cheese on the bottom.
  4. Add the meats in the following order: pepperoni, ham, then salami.
  5. Top with red bell peppers and pepperoncini slices.
  6. Add the remaining provolone cheese on top.
  7. Unroll the second crescent roll sheet and place it over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal.
  8. Whisk together the egg, pesto, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl.
  9. Brush the mixture over the top of the dough using a pastry brush.
  10. Cover with non-stick foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
  12. Let cool for 10 minutes, then slice into squares and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, brush olive oil on the top layer before baking.
  • Let the squares rest before slicing to prevent them from falling apart.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for extra flavor.
