  • Unsalted butter, cold and cubed – Β½ cup (1 stick)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Arrange the bread slices in a greased 9Γ—13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour over the bread, pressing gently. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture forms coarse crumbs. Refrigerate.
  4. Remove the casserole from the fridge and sprinkle streusel evenly over the top. Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes until golden brown and set. Let cool before serving. Garnish as desired.
