Ingredients

Scale
  • Shrimp Marinade:
    • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2โ€“3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
    • 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
    • 1/2โ€“1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked or sweet paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
    • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Remove tails if desired.
  2. Make the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Marinate the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss until evenly coated. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes but no longer than 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the Grill: Set the grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat (375-400ยฐF). Lightly oil the grates or pan.
  5. Grill the Shrimp: Place the shrimp directly on the grill or thread them onto skewers. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side, flipping when they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Remove shrimp from the grill and let rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush shrimp with melted butter during grilling. Serve with Zuppa Toscana Soup or Broccoli Cheese Soup for a delicious meal pairing. Enjoy! ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ”ฅ
