Description

This Easy Delicious Cruffin Recipe combines crescent roll dough, cinnamon, and butter to create flaky, bakery-style pastries in under an hour.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tubes (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll sheets or puff pastry
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Flour, for dusting
  • Optional: Nutella, jam, or chocolate chips
  • Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick spray.
  2. Lightly flour the work surface. Roll each dough sheet into a 12×16-inch rectangle.
  3. Spread 2 tablespoons of softened butter over each sheet of dough.
  4. In a bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  5. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over each dough sheet and press lightly.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the long end into a log.
  7. Cut each log in half crosswise, then slice each half lengthwise to make 4 pieces per sheet.
  8. With cut sides facing out, roll each strip into a spiral shape and place into muffin tin cups.
  9. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Immediately roll warm cruffins in remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For flakier cruffins, use puff pastry and bake at 400°F for 24 minutes.
  • Mini cruffins: Cut each dough sheet into 8 strips and bake in a mini muffin tin for 18 minutes.
  • Cool completely before freezing in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
  • To avoid soggy bottoms, do not exceed recommended butter amounts.
  • Let dough rest at room temperature for easier handling.
