- 1 lb bacon
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 48 ounces baked beans, undrained
- 32 ounces kidney beans, drained
- 16 ounces cannellini beans, drained
- 32 ounces black beans, drained
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
Instructions
- Chop bacon and cook in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, reserving drippings.
- Cook onion in the bacon drippings until soft, about 5-6 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Stir the cooked bacon back into the mixture.
- Transfer to a slow cooker or Dutch oven. Add baked beans, kidney beans, cannellini beans, black beans, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, and mustard. Mix well.
- If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 2 hours. If baking, preheat oven to 350ยฐF and bake covered for 1 1/2 hours.
- Serve hot and enjoy.

- For extra smoky flavor, add smoked paprika or liquid smoke.
- Drain and rinse the beans properly to avoid excess moisture.
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar.
