These crispy chicken egg rolls are loaded with a savory mix of ground chicken, cabbage, and carrots, then deep-fried to golden perfection.

- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 teaspoons fresh minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 14 egg roll wrappers
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for sealing)
- 1 tablespoon water (for sealing)
- 3 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground chicken, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the chicken is browned.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in shredded cabbage, carrots, and green onions. Cook for 5 more minutes. Remove from heat.
- Mix flour and water to create a sealing paste.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape. Add 1/4 cup of chicken mixture in the center.
- Fold bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly.
- Seal the top corner with the flour paste. Repeat for remaining wrappers.
- Heat vegetable oil to 375ยฐF in a deep skillet.
- Fry 2โ3 egg rolls at a time for about 2 minutes, turning to cook evenly.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve with sweet and sour sauce.
Notes
- Do not overfill wrappers to avoid bursting during frying.
- Ensure oil is hot enough (375ยฐF) for a crispy texture.
- Freeze egg rolls before frying for better crispiness and convenience.
- Try air frying for a lower-oil option.
