- 10g soy sauce
- 15g sambal
- 100ml heavy cream

For the Onion Mixture:
- 125g yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 125g grated cheese
- 5g fresh parsley, chopped
For Assembly and Topping:
- Cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded
- Rolls (for stuffing and baking)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Mixture: Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, cayenne powder, red bell pepper powder, onion powder, garlic powder, chicken seasoning, and dried parsley. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in sweet soy sauce, sambal, soy sauce, and heavy cream. Turn the heat to high and let the sauce thicken slightly, stirring continuously.
- Remove from heat and mix in the grated cheese while still warm. Set aside.
- Caramelize the Onions: In the same skillet, cook the sliced onions over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the caramelized onions with grated cheese and fresh parsley. Stir until well blended.
- Prepare the Rolls: Cut the rolls in half and gently remove some of the inside to create a hollow space for stuffing.
- Assemble the Rolls: Place a layer of cheddar cheese inside each hollowed roll, followed by the chicken mixture. Top with the onion mixture.
- Bake: Arrange the filled rolls in a baking dish. Preheat the oven to 200ยฐC (390ยฐF) and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Serve: Enjoy the rolls warm with a side salad or roasted vegetables.
Notes
- Extra Crispiness: Lightly toast the rolls before stuffing to prevent sogginess.
- Spice Adjustment: Add an extra teaspoon of sambal or finely chopped red chili for more heat.
- Substitutions: Swap chicken thighs for chicken breast if preferred. Try gouda or mozzarella for different cheese variations.
