Ingredients
Scale
- Β½ pound lean ground beef
- Β½ cup diced yellow onion
- Β½ teaspoon salt
- ΒΌ teaspoon black pepper
- ΒΌ cup water
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 8 ounces block of Colby jack cheese, shredded
- 12 ounces bag of tortilla chips (use about β of the bag)
- Optional: Sour cream, diced tomatoes, chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450Β°F and grease a Bundt Pan with cooking spray.
- In a skillet, cook the lean ground beef and diced yellow onion with salt and black pepper until the beef is no longer pink, about 6-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Return skillet to medium heat, add water and taco seasoning, and stir until the beef is evenly coated. Cook until most liquid evaporates, about 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Layer half the shredded cheese at the bottom of the Bundt Pan, followed by half of the beef mixture, and one-third of the tortilla chips. Add remaining cheese, beef mixture, and another one-third of the tortilla chips, ensuring even layers. Do not compact the chips.
- Bake for about 10 minutes. Invert onto a large plate to serve, and garnish with sour cream, diced tomatoes, and cilantro if desired.
Notes
- Use a block of cheese for a creamier texture rather than pre-shredded cheese.
- Ensure beef is cooked thoroughly before adding to prevent soggy nachos.
