  • Β½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted (120g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons milk (45ml)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Prepare a loaf pan with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Combine apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and ginger in a medium bowl and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together egg, white sugar, oil, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until nearly combined.
  6. Fold in ΒΎ of the apple mixture into the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and distribute the remaining apple mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 50-55 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 30 mins before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bread.
